Car interior detailing in Los Angeles
The whole cabin, cleaned by hand in your garage. Cloth seats and carpet are shampooed, and leather gets a cleaner and a conditioner of its own.
Interior detailing is the cabin on its own, taken further than the full detail goes. The full detail vacuums the seats and carpet. Here they are shampooed and rinsed. The floor mats are lifted out and cleaned on their own, and the trunk is part of the job.
When interior detailing makes sense
- Light leather that has picked up blue from jeans on the driver's seat
- Leather gone shiny and slick where you sit, which is dirt and skin oil on the surface
- Dust in the vents and along the stitching of the dash
- Sand from the beach worked into the carpet under the pedals
- A car you are about to sell, where the cabin is the first thing a buyer opens
Seat and carpet cleaning, leather and cloth
Leather is a hide with a thin topcoat over the color. We clean it with a cleaner made for leather, worked into the grain with a soft horsehair brush and wiped off, then condition it.
Cloth seats and carpet are shampooed, then rinsed by hot-water extraction, which flushes the fibers and draws the dirty water back up in one pass. Shampoo left in the fibers dries sticky and holds on to the next spill.

What the interior detail covers
- Cloth seats and carpet shampooed and rinsed by extraction
- Floor mats taken out and cleaned on their own
- Leather cleaned and conditioned
- Headliner spot-cleaned
- Dash and door panels cleaned
- Vents and seat rails brushed out
- Trunk or cargo floor vacuumed
- Glass cleaned on the inside
How we detail the cabin
- We look at the car at your home first, and the report gives you a fixed price. The look is free.
- Nothing starts until you approve the price on your report.
- On the day, the floor mats come out first. You don't need to be home while we work.
- We clean from the top down, headliner first and carpet last, so loosened dust only lands on what is still to be cleaned.
- Before we finish, every seat and the carpet are checked under the inspection light.
What sets the price of an interior detail
- Two rows of seats or three
- Cloth seats, leather, or a mix of both
- How long since the cabin was last cleaned
- Pet hair and set-in stains, which take longer
Every price is set at your inspection and fixed in writing before we start.
What interior detailing can't fix
Cleaning takes dirt off leather. It can't put back color the sun has taken out, or close a crack in the hide, and the report marks both before we start.
A stain that has had months to set may only lighten. The report names it before you approve the work.
Caring for the cabin afterward
On the day we finish, you get your report and a care sheet for the leather and the carpet.
Asked about car interior detailing
Is interior detailing part of the full detail?
The full detail includes a lighter version: seats and carpet vacuumed, leather cleaned and conditioned. Interior detailing goes further inside, with the shampoo and extraction and the headliner, and leaves the outside of the car alone.
Can you get jean dye off light leather?
Usually, when it is caught early. Dye that has sat in the topcoat for months can leave a faint shadow, and the report says so before we start.
Can you correct the paint at the same time?
Yes. Tell us both in your request, and the report prices each as its own line. For swirls and light scratches, see paint correction.
Can you work in an apartment or condo garage?
We can work there when the building allows it and there is room around the car.
See what your car needs before you spend anything.
The inspection is free and takes place at your home. You keep the written report and the fixed price whether or not you book the work.
Inspections by appointment. Same-day replies Monday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
